TMDL scripting inside TE3

I have not found an easy way to transfer whole TOM object from one model to another inside TE3. DAX scripting only allows to easily transfer calculated columns and measures in their entirety. It is not possible to copy and paste the data source and formatting of columns coming from data source. I imagine we could have TMDL editor inside TE3, just like "TMDL view in Power BI Desktop". I could then open an object (or multiple objects) in TMDL view, edit there and then save. Similarly, so I could open blank TMDL editor, paste information there and save to model open an object (Table) in TMDL edit view and then incorporate the new object into semantic model. Reading April 2025 TE3 release notes it almost felt like this functionoality is here (TMDL view in Power BI Desktop), but it appears it is export only functionality and no import nor edit functionality. - -
